APPLICATION
Purifier is the key
equipment for purification and classification of semolina and
dunst in flour mills based on different particle size and on
their aero-dynamical properties by means of sifting on sieves
and in an upstream of air. Purifiers are mostly used for obtaining
thin flour, having lower ash content and starch damage.
OPERATION
The stock is evenly distributed over the whole width of the sieves
by means of an adjustable feed gate. The exhaust air passing
through the sieve provides stratification and selection of products
into two parts which are determined by the inclination and vibration
of the sieve boxes. The throughs pass to the collecting conveyers
whilst the over tails still kept in suspension fall into the
discharge channel and collecting box fitted below. A system of
adjustable diverter flaps enables variable distribution of offal
to suit the requirement of the flow sheet.
